Living in Sin

My last post was a little about sin and the thing that I had in my space that was leading me to sin. So I thought that I would add to it and talk more about it and what the Bible says about it.

WARNING THIS IS GOING TO BE LONG

'And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. - 1 John 2:28-29

Now read it again.

I don't know about you but that was one of my biggest fears when I was living a lukewarm relationship with God. I was scared what would happen when I died or when he come back. Then I started to think... Why am I so scared about what he would think? He knows that I'm doing it. He watching me as I do it. But why do I act like He doesn't know. Why do I act like I can hide it from him?

Some thing I like is find quotes that goes along with what is happening in my life and I found few  that got me thing

"If it breaks God's heart, Why do you think it will fulfill yours?"

'Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. '- 1 John 2:15-17

Just sit on that and read it again if you need to. I don't want you to miss it, because I missed it for YEARS. I even give you what I missing...  anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. Did you catch it?  There might be something you are worshipping more than God.... And I'm going to make you uncomfortable for a moment but that's because no one ever did it for me. That thing that you hind... you what I'm talking about... The thing that you are finding from everyone and you are scared that someone might find out because your life would be over if people knew?

That thing that for the past years you been telling yourself that God doesn't care about it. That thing you are telling yourself its not a sin. That you been trying to tell yourself that it's not wrong.... wait.... that's part of the world.... that means.... but no... it can't be....

"If the Bible calls it sin. Our opinion doesn't matter." - unknown

Just sit on that.... now read it again.... one more time.....

Now that means..... yeah..... It's sin.... It's harmful.... It's killing..... It's pulling you away from God.... but let go back to the two verse

Okay.... so it been I might of not been as close to God as I thought.... But I have nothing to worry about. I still know God.... Right?

'And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming. - 1 John 2:28-29

Okay.... I might be ashamed... but it fine.... Right?

'“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’' - Matthew 7:21-23

But God....

'Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. ' - Revelation 3:3

""Sometimes the Devil allows people to live a life free of trouble because he doesn't want them turning to God. Their sin is like a jail cell, except it is all nice and comfy and there doesn't seem to be any reason to leave. The door's wide open. Until one day, time runs out, and the cell door slams shut, and suddenly it's too late.""
